Why Shop With Reca
Reca was built on one word: care. Care for the women who make our clothing and jewellery, care for the planet we share, and care for you — our community.
Ethically made, by people we know by name
Every piece of Reca clothing is handcrafted by skilled artisans in Nepal, India, and Aotearoa New Zealand. Our jewellery is made right here in New Zealand by women from former refugee backgrounds, who earn at least the local living wage. We visit our partners. We know their stories. And we share them with you.
Materials chosen with intention
We prioritise natural fabrics — linen, TENCEL™, and Fairtrade or GOTS-certified organic cotton wherever possible. Our jewellery uses quality materials designed to last: 14k gold-filled and sterling silver, never plated alternatives. No fast fashion. No compromises we’d be uncomfortable explaining to you.
Built to be worn, loved, and lived in
We design pieces you’ll reach for again and again — across seasons, across years. When you buy from Reca, your purchase directly supports fair wages, safe working conditions, and our long-term goal to establish a social enterprise in Mae Sot by 2028, offering safe haven and skill training for single mothers and women escaping domestic violence.
