Yes. Reca is an ethical fashion and jewellery brand based in Auckland, New Zealand. Our jewellery is handcrafted in Auckland by women from refugee backgrounds, all paid at least the New Zealand living wage, and our clothing is made in small runs from natural fabrics by makers we've worked with for years in Nepal, India and New Zealand.
Where is Reca clothing made?
Reca clothing is made by mainly small-scale makers in Nepal, India and New Zealand. Each piece is produced in small, considered runs using natural fibres - cotton (including organic), linen, TENCEL™ and merino wool.
Who makes Reca jewellery?
Our jewellery is handcrafted in Auckland, New Zealand, by women from refugee backgrounds. Every maker is paid at least the New Zealand living wage. Materials include 14k gold-filled and 925 sterling silver.
Does Reca pay a living wage?
Yes. All of our Auckland jewellery makers are paid at least the New Zealand living wage, and we work only with clothing makers whose working conditions and pay we know first-hand.
What materials does Reca use?
Our clothing uses natural fibres: cotton (both organic and conventional), linen, TENCEL™ and merino wool. Our jewellery uses 14k gold-filled and 925 sterling silver, with freshwater pearls and other natural elements. We do not use leather, fur or exotic animal materials.

What is the Mae Sot training centre?
We are working toward opening a training centre in Mae Sot, on the Thai–Myanmar border, by 2029, to help establish a safe home and mentorship program for women escaping domestic violence or hardship.
